Went off my diet for the Christmas Holiday and I wanted A and W root beer float. They did not disappoint, ate or drank it first. (which ever eay you want to say it) The burger was soggy like it had been sitting around for 2 hours under a heat lamp, mind you my float was gone in 5 minutes, the French fries where good and hot.
This really wasn't any better than a standard McDonald's or Burger King. The staff was ok, but not great. The food was fine, but you could tell little attention went into it other than getting it out and served. They do serve soda in a big mug, which is kinda cool. Overall, they charge a little bit more than most of their competitors, but I don't know that they really offer any value beyond those same competitors.
If you are looking for a fast meal the A&W on Highway K is great. The store is very clean, the staff is wonderful and friendly and then nostalgic music and feel of the restaurant is fun for all ages. The one downside is the food is a little greasy, but their root beer floats are fabulous.
Next time I would skip the meal and go for the root beer float!
Absolutely delicious cheeseburgers! Love them here! Only bad thing is that it's a busy place. Don't be surprised to see most of the tables taken if you go during lunch or dinner time. But it's worth stopping at! Love it!
It's my favorite! I've visited this location probably 10 times on my way to or from Chicago or Milwaukee. I've never had an issue with the service or the food. I get the same few things every time, mind you, so I'm not expert. But the blended floats, fries, and burgers are good!
